The Loch Lomond Recreation Area allows for fishing, boating and picnicking. As this is a drinking water reservoir, swimming is not permitted. Open March 1 to September 15 every year.

The Santa Cruz Harbor offers spectacular views of a variety of boats. There are over 1,200 boats situated in the harbor. Also located in the harbor is a launch ramp, fuel pier, charter boats, fishing and whale-watching boating companies, restaurants and much more. The harbor office is open from 8:30am to 5:00pm, daily.
Arana Gulch is a meadow that is home to a variety of wildlife. A trail for hiking and biking is available to visitors, allowing them to experience nature first-hand.
The Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz features rock formations in the ocean that resemble bridges, hence the name of the beach.
Wilder Ranch State Park features 34 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails. An interpretive center is located at the site and is open Friday to Sunday 10am to 4pm during the winter months. Fee charged for day use.
The Lagoon is a refuge for wild birds and is accessible by canoe and kayak or by following the railroad tracks.
